Yarra Point includes environmentally sustainable initiatives in the design of the tower, the individual residences the lobby and the surrounding parkland. Master electrical switching, visual energy metering and water collection and reuse through the community garden are just some of the sustainability initiatives being undertaken at Yarra Point. The project aims to achieve an ‘ESD Award of Merit’ for progress towards best practice, as described in the Melbourne Docklands Ecologically Sustainable Development guide of May 2006.
